Awards:
Contracting Business Magazine has awarded AC Corporation the Design/Build Award for the mechanical systems at the Grandover Resort & Conference Center. Grandover is a world-class hotel and resort facility located in Greensboro, North Carolina.

AC Corporation was selected by the owners to work with them in the earliest planning stages of this project. The plans which they jointly developed culminated in the company being chosen to design and build all of the resort's mechanical and electrical systems.

Already chosen for a national award for the electrical work, we are especially proud to have been chosen for this prestigious award.

Continuing Education Involvement:
AC Corporation is a strong supporter of the Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) Apprenticeship Program. This is a unique program which features independent pacing, practical subject matter and a flexible schedule-perfect for full-time working students who may travel frequently with their jobs. ACC's representation includes sitting on the advisory board and helping with recruiting, donation of materials and contributing financial resources.

Presently, GTCC offers Apprenticeship Programs in electrical, HVAC and plumbing. ACC is pleased to announce that several of our employees are enrolled in this degree program.

ACC also has a strong partnership with local high schools to encourage youth to consider the construction industry as a career. The company's involvement at this level has included writing the program and updating as needed. The objective of the program is to help students design a career path including college prep or entry directly into the work force upon high school graduation. ACC has representation on the Guilford County School System Program that encompasses 14 area high schools.
